Why Art Is Important for Humanity
Without art, we risk becoming people who don’t value anything — not even our own existence or identity. We are a species that lives together in society; we are social animals. When we live together, we need beauty and aesthetics around us to remind us of who we are and what we believe in. When we lose that, we lose ourselves.
I believe that to create value in our culture, and for our country to become the best in the world, everything we create should have beauty and appeal. Without that, no one will want to live in those places — we’ll feel bored, unhappy, and disconnected. That’s why art is so important in our lives. It brings excitement, joy, and a way to express our feelings. We don’t value things we don’t connect with — unless it’s something we need just to survive.
Studying art matters. We need art around us to bring peace and love into our surroundings. When art fills the spaces where we live and work, those places feel alive. Good art brings good vibes. Good vibes help us build stronger communities that care for one another. These are the kinds of communities that can build a better country and a better life for everyone.
Without art, life feels empty. Art is as important as science or any other study. Yet many ignore it. In fact, when art and science come together, humanity flourishes. We start caring for one another, for other species, and for life around us — we start creating a place that feels like heaven.
So why don’t more people study art? Why do so many in India not value it? Why do artists barely survive, and why do so many live below the poverty line? Is it because no one is writing, no one is thinking, and no one is creating?
What’s the solution? What can you do to help make the world a better place?
